Step-By-Step Auction Guide
If you're a fan of Bargain Hunt and Flog It, you'll know that Auctions are a fun and generally profitable way to buy and sell your items.
Some people may feel a little intimidated by the thought of bidding - don't be! All you have to do is register and then raise your hand when you hear a price you like.
Charnock Auctions has had a recent business takeover and we all know how important it is to help our customers enjoy the auction experience.

Just bring your antiques and collectables anytime Monday to Wednesday between 9.30am - 2.30pm, or Thursday 9.30am - 11am, and we'll endeavour to enter them for the following Sunday's sale. Items brought in Thursday afternoon or Friday will be entered in the following week's sale. If you need advice on valuation, we are happy to help.
We'll give you a receipt and subject to a fee, you can protect your items with a reserve price (i.e. the minimum bid you are prepared to accept). We charge an entry fee of £1 fee per lot to cover administrative costs.
We also post our catalogue and photographs of 'star' items and panoramic views of the sale room on our website in advance of the sale to give our buyers the chance to view and give your items the best chance of a good price.
Our fee is 12.5% of the hammer price plus VAT on commission (a very competitive rate) and when the item is successfully sold, we will have a cheque ready for collection or posting after 14days
